March 27, 2025 - House Bill 68 (Overcast), our bill to reduce the statute of limitations from five years to two years, was heard in the Senate General Laws Committee yesterday.

The bill would more closely align Missouri's time limit for filing personal injury lawsuits with most states that observe a limit of two or three years to file such suits.

The bill would also allow victims of childhood sexual abuse additional time to file lawsuits against those that have abused them.

Associated Industries of Missouri supports the bill. No action was taken by the Committee in the hearing yesterday.
