Free virtual workplace safety and health visits

Did you know that the Missouri Department of Labor's Division of Labor Standards offers Free virtual workplace safety and health visits?

Here's how it works:

Once you contact the department, a staff member will set up a video conference to meet with you to review site-specific safety programs. You may use video conferencing or send pictures to help identify any hazards present within the facility. Once reviews are complete, a closing conference will be held virtually to summarize findings.

Depending on the program, a staff member may draft and send you a written formal report of items that are in need of correction.

If you are not familiar with the department’s safety and health programs, here is what they offer:

• The Mine and Cave Safety Program offers hazard identification and correction within a mine or cave. Contact the program by calling 573-751-1422.
