The outgoing-Boone County Clerk has been chosen to serve as the next Division of Labor Standards Director.
Clerk Taylor Burks will begin his new role January 14, 2018.
The Division of Labor Standards helps employers comply with Missouri labor laws and ensures Missourians are safe on the job and paid wages required by law. The division offers free consultation services to employers to reduce workplace fatalities and helps businesses comply with federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.
“I’m excited to join Governor Parson’s administration with Director Hui’s team, and contribute to the mission of the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations,” said Burks. “We have a lot of opportunities to use my operational experiences to continue improving the services we provide to Missouri employers and workers.”
“Taylor joins our team with great experience and qualifications and will be a tremendous asset to the Division of Labor Standards,” said Hui. “He brings a depth of executive, operational, and personnel leadership knowledge, and I look forward to working with him in this position.”
